Nice old arm ornament (passang) from the Boiken people, East Sepik province, Papua New Guinea.
Four conus shell rings have been attached to the corners of a diamond-shaped centre plaited of plant fibre string, wich is outlined with a row of nassa shells and painted with red ochre.
Worn by men on the upper arm.
